Jobvite treats structured form fields — job titles, skills, salary expectations, availability — as first-class data equal to the parsed resume. Recruiters filter on form fields directly. Jobvite uses a combination of keyword matching and structured data from application forms to surface candidates. The platform does not publish a standalone AI scoring algorithm. Recruiter filters on form fields and manual keyword searches drive most candidate discovery. Referrals from the Jobvite Refer system receive separate priority signals that rank above algorithmic matches.

Jobvite maintains a single candidate record per email address. Submitting a new application with the same email address typically updates your existing record rather than creating a separate entry. Applying to multiple open roles at the same company is allowed. Using a different email address for each application creates separate records, which is generally not recommended as it fragments your profile data.

DOCX is the most reliably parsed format in Jobvite. Text-based PDFs work acceptably if the layout is single-column and free of tables or graphics. Avoid image-based PDFs, scanned documents, and heavily designed templates with multiple columns or text boxes. Plain chronological or combination formats in DOCX will produce the most complete parsed candidate record.
